Here I am, stuck at O’Hare Airport—again. My flight’s been delayed for hours, and the board flashes “CANCELED” next to half the departures. Why? Because the government shut down over a month ago, and air traffic controllers haven’t seen a paycheck since. You think they’ll show up focused and motivated? Hell no. Across the country, over 5,000 flights are delayed, and for two straight days, more than 1,000 got canceled. I’m just praying my flight isn’t next.

But it’s not just the flights. While politicians in D.C. play blame games, they’re quietly cutting healthcare funding. My insurance premiums keep climbing, co-pays are ridiculous, and good luck finding a decent doctor without taking out a loan. Oh, and over 300 rural hospitals are on the verge of shutting down. Think about that—places where farmers, factory workers, and elderly folks rely on their local clinic for emergencies might soon have nowhere to go. How’s that making America “great”?

The President keeps boasting that under his leadership, America will be the greatest. Really? From where I stand, life for regular folks like me keeps getting harder. Delayed flights, unaffordable healthcare, and rural communities losing their hospitals—it feels like we’re moving backward, not forward. If this is “great,” I’d hate to see what failure looks like.
