This is absolutely outrageous! Dr. Jeanne Marrazzo, the former chief scientist at the National Institutes of Health, was illegally fired simply for saying that “suddenly cutting research funding would harm patients.” Who wouldn’t be outraged by this?
The Trump administration drastically cut the NIH budget by 37%, halting over 4,000 research projects and suspending more than 380 clinical trials, directly crushing the hopes of over 70,000 patients. While claiming to be “saving money,” they used life-saving research funding as a political bargaining chip and ignored the warnings of professional scientists.
Twenty-two states have filed a joint lawsuit, 1,900 scientists have publicly protested, and even Nobel laureates have harshly criticized it as a “disaster,” but they simply don’t care. Simply put, they are prioritizing politics over science, trampling on public health, and anyone who speaks the truth will be forced out!
This government is truly authoritarian!
