This is an outrage. Our own government is actively undermining children’s health. The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) just cut millions in grants to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). These weren’t just any funds—they supported life-saving work like preventing sudden infant deaths, stopping birth defects, and screening for autism early.

Let’s be clear: this is purely political payback. The AAP has been a vocal critic of Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s dangerous anti-vaccine agenda and even sued him over it. Now, HHS claims these critical programs “no longer align” with its mission. What mission is that? Ignoring science?
This cruelty comes as U.S. infant mortality just rose for the first time in over two decades. Meanwhile, the administration is rolling back decades-old vaccine guidance, like the one that nearly eliminated hepatitis B in kids. They’re playing political games while children’s lives hang in the balance. It’s a direct attack on our future, and it’s un-American.
