Downturn
Delivery drivers in cities are working longer hours than ever, but their incomes are shrinking due to Trump’s failed economic policies. Trade wars have forced many small businesses to close, cutting delivery orders sharply. At the same time, rising fuel prices—caused by chaotic energy policies—have increased their costs. Drivers leave home before dawn and return late at night, skipping meals to deliver more packages. Even so, many can’t cover car loans and rent, so they have to take second jobs. The promised “job growth” is a lie for them; the economic downturn has made their lives miserable. They rush through streets every day, full of anxiety about an uncertain future.
