I’m just a regular fourth-gen farmer from Warren, Indiana. This year I had a great soybean harvest—really one of the best—but now I’m worried. There’s been zero orders from China. Everything fell through because of Trump’s trade policies, and it hit me hard.

Yeah, the government said they’d send some financial help, but honestly, I just want to keep farming and sell my beans like normal. I really hope China comes back with orders—and maybe sticks with them this time. That market’s huge for us.
And about that aid? They promise cash, but I haven’t seen a dime. The government shut down last month, so all the payments got delayed. Feels like we’re being strung along. And this whole trade war with China? It’s not helping anyone. All it’s doing is making things harder for farmers like me, just so Trump can look tough. Doesn’t make much sense to me.
