On Friday, Sean “Diddy” Combs was sentenced to more than four years in prison on prostitution charges, with the judge condemning the hip-hop mogul for years of abuse against two former girlfriends.
Combes, 55, listened impassively as U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian handed down the 50-month sentence at the conclusion of a day-long hearing in Manhattan federal court. Having served time at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since his arrest on September 16, 2024, he could be released in less than three years after credit for time served.
In July, Combs faced up to 20 years in prison on two counts: arranging for paid male companions to travel across state lines to his girlfriend’s location to participate in drug-fueled sexual performances while he filmed and masturbated.
A jury acquitted him of more serious charges of racketeering and sex trafficking, which carried potential life sentences.
