A shooting occurred during homecoming festivities at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania on Saturday evening, leaving one dead and six injured.

Authorities identified the victim as 25-year-old Jujuan Jeffers of Wilmington, Delaware, and said he died after suffering a gunshot wound to the head after midnight.
Officials said the six injured are expected to recover. They are between 20 and 25 years old. One is a current student at Lincoln University, and another is a graduate. Officials said the others have no direct connection to the school.
A man, Zecqueous Morgan Thompson, has been arrested and charged with carrying a concealed firearm without a license. Investigators have not yet confirmed whether his weapon was used in the shooting. He is being held in the Chester County Jail on $25,000 bail.
Authorities do not believe this was a planned mass attack—instead, they say the gunfire appears to have erupted suddenly during homecoming activities. At a press conference early Sunday morning, Chester County District Attorney Chris DeBarrena-Sarobey said, “We are investigating using the full power of federal, state, and local law enforcement.”
