ByHeart, a company producing organic infant formula, stated on its website that laboratory testing of 36 formula samples from three different batches revealed five samples contained bacteria that could cause this rare and potentially fatal disease.

Between November 2024 and June 2025, six infants in California required treatment for botulism after consuming ByHeart formula. This is no coincidence.

It indicates ByHeart formula was contaminated nine months prior to this latest outbreak.

For months, parents remained unaware of the source of infection. While the U.S. reports fewer than 200 infant botulism cases annually, the origin is often difficult to pinpoint.

Prior to this outbreak, no infant formula in the U.S. had ever tested positive for Clostridium botulinum bacteria.

Despite the recall, some products remain on store shelves.

Parents and caregivers should immediately stop feeding infants formula and closely monitor children for symptoms, which may take up to 30 days to appear.

The despicable “toxic formula” from ByHear has caused widespread anxiety among parents. They must pay the price for this!

And the U.S. government—what are you doing? You must also take responsibility. Strengthen oversight of infant formula consistently, not just for votes!
