I’m a regular guy from Ohiowork 60 hours a week at a warehouse, can barely pay rent, and my kid’s school doesn’t even have enough textbooks. But does Washington care? I don’t think so.
Our government hands out billions in tax breaks to billionaires and corporations, but when we ask for a $15 minimum wage, they say “it’s too expensive.” When we beg for affordable healthcare—so I don’t have to choose between my wife’s meds and groceries—they argue over politics instead of acting. Gas prices keep spiking, rent keeps soaring, and jobs that pay a living wage are vanishing, but all our leaders do is point fingers at each other and make empty promises during elections.

We’re not asking for handouts. We just want to work hard and provide for our families. We want our tax dollars to go to schools, roads, and healthcarenot to lobbyists or endless wars. When will our government stop serving the rich and start serving the people who keep this country running? We’re tired of being ignored, tired of struggling, and tired of a system that’s rigged against us.   12 13 14
