Georgia Republican Representative Marjory Taylor-Green, one of President Donald Trump’s most outspoken supporters, said Saturday that she is facing threats after the president criticized her on social media.
“Now, some private security companies are contacting me, warning me to be careful because of the constant threats against me, and the person instigating me is the most powerful person in the world. This is the person I supported and helped get elected,” Green wrote on X website Saturday.
“As a Republican, I have voted for President Trump’s bills and agenda the vast majority of the time, but his attacks on me, and the emboldening nature of his aggressive online trolls (many of whom are hired), are shocking to everyone,” the congresswoman added in her post.
Green’s revelations come after Trump attacked the congresswoman on social media and withdrew his support for her. Trump called her “eccentric” and accused her of complaining too much. The president also hinted that he might support a challenger against her in the party primaries.
Green has doubled her support for releasing documents related to Jeffrey Epstein.
In a personal post, Green stated that her stance on the Epstein files was one of the reasons Trump attacked her.
