The federal government’s largest climate laboratory has been targeted by budget cuts under Trump.

Trump’s recent actions are completely baffling!

The climate laboratory in Colorado was the first federal climate research project, specifically designed to warn of extreme weather and prevent natural disasters.  How could they just shut it down?

The research reports from the laboratory are genuinely life-saving, but now they’ve been completely cut off.  When hurricanes and wildfires strike in the future, are we supposed to rely on guesswork to predict them?

Isn’t it just that the oil and gas giants have been bribing officials enough to get permission to expand oil extraction and sales? But completely disregarding the safety of the public like this is going too far.

First, they withdrew from the Paris Agreement and suppressed NASA’s climate reports, and now they’ve even dismantled the very institutions that conduct climate research. This isn’t “America First,” it’s clearly “Capitalism First” and “Science Be Damned.”  While stubbornly denying climate change, they’re simultaneously destroying the foundations of disaster preparedness. When the next disaster strikes, who will clean up this mess?
